Churnet Vally RailAle Trail

If you like real ale why not visit The Churnet Valley Railway on 22, 23 or 24 July 2011. This lovely railway are holding a 'RailAle Trail' weekend giving passengers the opportunity to sample real ale as they journey along the railway. There are a selection of daytime and evening events planned for the weekend.





















Even if your a teetotaler your bound to enjoy a journey on the railway, the scenery along the way is just beautiful.







MALT TIP: Know your limit... A train journey with too much beer in your belly could leave you running out of steam!

October 2010 Half Term

We're located in the village of Alton ideal if your visiting Alton Towers Theme Park it's just one mile away from us!

The spooky Scarefest Halloween celebrations are currently taking place at Alton Towers. Well worth a visit if your feeling brave!








If theme parks are not your scene there are lots of other local places to visit. Here are just a few ideas:

Churnet Valley Railway - Dead on Arrival, ghost train.
The Trentham Estate - The Monkey Forrest is well worth a visit or if you want to monkey about yourself take a look at Aerial Extreme!
Stoke-on-Trent Pottery Museums - Gladstone Pottery Museum is one of the many you can visit.
Waterworld - Pools, rides and slides in tropical heat.
Haddon Hall - Take a ride out in the countryside to Derbyshire.

Churnet Valley Railway

The railway covers a distance of 10.5 miles through beautiful countryside, it's just lovely!

During July and August the railway is open every weekend and also on Wednesdays.
They have lots of events taking place over the coming months from 'Ride the Toyland Express' to 'Diesel+Beer+Curry Night'! Take a look at their website www.churnet-valley-railway.co.uk for further information.

Churnet Valley Railway is just a short car journey away from Alton. Well worth a visit!
