In just 4 weeks most schools will start their October Half Term Holidays, followed by Halloween on Saturday 31 October 2015.

Holiday Tails

Sorry it's been quite a while since our last blog!  Our excuse is that we've been busy taking care of  guests staying here at The Malthouse.  Following a hectic season we went away for a well deserved holiday.  We decided to go to the seaside so that we could take our dog Poppy along too.  She loved Skegness beach, here she is on the sand.

 

 

Now, everyone in Lincolnshire is VERY friendly and Poppy is welcome in many of the shops. 

BUT there are non more friendly than two lovely ladies at a market stall near Fantasy Island in Skegness.  The stall is called 'Paws a While' here is Poppy modelling one of the creations they sell.  Doesn't she look gorgeous? 

 

 

We spent ages looking at the pet stall choosing several items including a new perfume for Poppy called Kennel No 5!  Well a girl has to be pampered and treat herself when she's on holiday!!!

 

Bye for now, back to the decorating.  Lots to do ready for the 2015 season!

Where does the time go?  We've been up to all sorts since our last blog!

Now that we're well into 2013 it's time to start thinking about getting The Malthouse ship shape so that we're ready to welcome guests to our B&B.   The spring seems a long way off but before we blink it'll be mid March and Alton Towers Theme Park will open for their main 2013 season! 

Love Alton Towers?  If you do make a note on your calendar 'Alton Towers Opens' on 16 March 2013!  We can't wait to see what their new ride is like!!!

Must dash off now!  Plenty of decorating, spring cleaning, washing and ironing to do!

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Holiday Weekend

June 2012 will be a busy month for the Royal Family as Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her Diamond Jubilee. In honour of the occasion there will be an extra bank holiday this year on Tuesday 5 June 2012 and as the late May Bank Holiday Monday has been moved to Monday 4 June 2012 this will make a VERY long weekend to look forward to! Also most schools will have their half term holidays that week.

We're Back - Hope You've Missed US!

Perhaps you wonder why you've not heard from us for a while? We've been away on ours hols BUT we're back home now. It's lovely to take a break but there's nothing quite like coming home!

Once we've unpacked our suitcases and the sorted out the mountain of washing we have it will be time to start back to work. We're hopeful that 2012 will be a busy year at our B&B in Alton, so to ensure that we're ready to open in the Spring we'll have to put our noses to the grindstone!

You might wonder why there has not been an update to our blog for a while. This is because we have been away on holiday ourselves! Now we are back home and starting to get back into our usual routine you will hear from us again soon!
